Hi there! My name is Willem. I'm a strategist, brand builder and hands-on designer. I'm also a dad, husband, neighbour and friend. We might have a few of those in common. Drifting off already, back to the 'work' bio: with a background in economics, branding and design I have always been intrigued by the bigger picture and the smallest detail.

Over the last 15 years I co-founded design blog Fontanel (2014-2020), ran my own design practise (2011-2015), launched a job board for creative jobs Fontanel Jobs (2011-2024), served active board and jury seats of creative institutions and lastly I was co-founder, creative jack of all trades and CEO of startup Homerun (2014-2024). On sabbatical right now taking a breather, creating space to figure out what's next. Available for small and big projects or a fractional position later this year (Q4).
